Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care for patients during overnight hours
• Administer medications and follow physician orders accurately and safely
• Perform routine assessments and monitor vital signs, escalating concerns promptly
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain clear, timely charting
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
• Support patient education and discharge planning to promote recovery
• Maintain infection control standards and contribute to a safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (New Mexico licensure preferred)
• Clinical experience as an LPN or RN in acute care or rehabilitation settings is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on overnight shifts
• Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to patient-centered care

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
• RN candidates: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Patient assessment and monitoring during overnight care
• Electronic medical record charting and documentation
• Infection prevention and wound care fundamentals
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork during busy shifts
