Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift to ensure safety and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all patient care activities
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care plans and support positive outcomes
• Perform wound care, IV therapy (as appropriate by licensure), and other clinical procedures within scope
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or other specialty certifications preferred where applicable
• Previous acute care or rehab experience is a plus; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to inquire
• Reliable clinical assessment skills, strong communication, and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (for LPN) or associate/BSN program (for RN)
• Current state licensure (LPN or RN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Patient assessment and prioritization during high-acuity periods
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
• Time management and organization for managing 12-hour night responsibilities
