Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in the assigned unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with facility standards
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in New Mexico
• Current BLS certification (basic life support) — facility may require additional certs
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and delivering hands-on patient care
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Previous acute care or med-surg experience is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) — RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing assessments, medication administration and charting
• Ability to manage multiple patients safely and prioritize workload
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and standard clinical documentation
• Good interpersonal skills for working with patients, families and the care team
• Basic proficiency with IV medications, wound care and monitoring patient status
