Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during evening and overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, promptly reporting changes to the care team
• Perform skilled nursing tasks per scope of practice for LPNs and RNs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and safe transitions

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN licensure (appropriate for practice in New Mexico)
• Active, unencumbered license and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements
• Previous clinical nursing experience preferred; acute care experience a plus
• Willingness to work night shift hours and provide high-quality care during overnight periods
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Education

• LPN: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Basic wound care and routine nursing procedures
• Comfort working independently during night shifts and escalating concerns appropriately
• Good time management, organization, and teamwork
