Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions with compassion and clinical precision
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered outcomes
• Perform skilled nursing procedures and chart care in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about care plans, recovery goals, and discharge needs
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Mexico state license or multistate compact RN license preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; other certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus depending on unit
• Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or similar nursing settings is preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and wound care
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and policies
• Skilled at patient assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking
• Team player who collaborates well with therapists, physicians, and support staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to educate patients/families clearly
