Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the assigned unit
- Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and respond to changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to create and update care plans
- Document care, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure continuity of care
- Promote a safe environment by following infection control and facility policies
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license (NM licensure preferred; licensure assistance available)
- Active BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by unit
- Clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and maintain professional composure in a fast-paced environment
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN for Registered Nurse)
- LPN candidates should have completion of an accredited practical nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical reasoning skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and standard nursing technology
- Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
- Basic wound care and rehab support experience is a plus
