Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation
• Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (licensed in or eligible for New Mexico)
• BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications preferred as appropriate
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and managing a varied patient load
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN program) or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
• Medication administration and IV/PHARM protocols (as appropriate to license)
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
• Excellent patient and family education and communication skills
