Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (12.5-hour nights, days vary)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned residents
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate effective care plans
- Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge instructions
- Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate concerns as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the facility EMR
- Serve as a reliable, professional presence that supports patient dignity and comfort
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted LPN license in New Mexico (or compact/eligible per state rules)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute settings is a plus
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to travel assignment schedules
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
Education
- LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
- RN candidates: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Comfortable with wound care, IV monitoring, and common nursing procedures
- Proficient with electronic charting and documentation best practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
- Good time management, critical thinking, and ability to prioritize
- Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
