Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the rehab/clinical area
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols
• Monitor patient status and vital signs; promptly communicate changes to the care team
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians and support staff to deliver coordinated care plans
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and participate in rehabilitative activities
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control and safety standards
• Support patient transitions and discharge planning to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in New Mexico, or eligible for licensure (multistate/compact license holders encouraged to apply)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Comfortable working extended day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and adapting to facility scheduling
• Experience in rehab, acute care, or related clinical settings is a plus — newcomers with strong clinical skills are welcome

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (diploma/certificate)
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for RN applicants

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Safe medication administration and documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork to coordinate patient care
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols and patient mobility/transfer techniques
