Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate direct patient care consistent with LPN scope of practice
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and document medication administration accurately
• Assist with wound care and dressing changes following facility protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and handoff communication
• Support infection control practices and maintain a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credential (LPN is primary for this posting)
• Active license to practice in New Mexico (or compact/eligible as applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Previous acute care or rehab experience preferred but compassionate caregivers new to travel are welcome
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment with strong communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or equivalent nursing education for RN candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in medication administration and documentation
• Patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Basic wound care and clinical procedures
• Strong clinical judgement and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Electronic medical record charting experience (or ability to learn quickly)
• Teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach
