Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients on your unit
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Assess patient status, report changes to the care team, and participate in care planning
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to ensure safe transitions
- Support patient and family education with clarity and empathy
- Follow facility protocols for infection control, safety, and documentation
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN or RN license in good standing (required)
- Basic clinical competency in medication administration, patient assessment, and documentation
- Valid BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in acute care or rehab settings is a plus
- Professional, reliable, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Education
- LPN: Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of nursing fundamentals and patient care best practices
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
- Strong communication skills — with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
- Ability to adapt to unit-specific policies and evolving patient needs
