Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients on your unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Assess patient status, report changes to the care team, and participate in care planning
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to ensure safe transitions
• Support patient and family education with clarity and empathy
• Follow facility protocols for infection control, safety, and documentation

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license in good standing (required)
• Basic clinical competency in medication administration, patient assessment, and documentation
• Valid BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in acute care or rehab settings is a plus
• Professional, reliable, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Education

• LPN: Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of nursing fundamentals and patient care best practices
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
• Strong communication skills — with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Ability to adapt to unit-specific policies and evolving patient needs
