Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients throughout the shift
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following facility protocols
• Monitor patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform thorough assessments and deliver patient education to support recovery and discharge goals
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and handoffs for continuity of care
• Support unit flow by responding to admissions, discharges and PRN needs with professionalism

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or valid compact RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred or available based on unit
• Previous acute care nursing experience preferred (travel or contract experience a plus)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma/certificate acceptable for LPN roles)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for acute patient care
• Proficiency with medication administration and electronic health record documentation
• Comfortable with IV therapy, wound care, and common inpatient nursing procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary staff
• Time management and prioritization skills to handle fluctuating patient acuity
