Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients consistent with LPN scope of practice
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and timely
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes to the care team
• Support RN staff with procedures, charting, and continuity of care
• Maintain clear and professional communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and infection-control standards
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by demonstrating empathy and professionalism

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (or eligible for state licensure)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications (e.g., IV therapy) a plus
• Recent hands-on clinical experience in a relevant care setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a care team
• Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist patients as required by the role

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or nursing diploma program
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
• Skilled in wound care, basic patient assessments, and vital sign monitoring
• Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Strong clinical judgment, time management, and prioritization skills
• Patient-centered approach with good interpersonal and teamwork abilities
