Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, focusing on safety, dignity, and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely per provider orders
• Monitor and document patient condition, vital signs, and responses to interventions
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other team members to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring smooth transitions
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation
• Follow infection control practices and facility safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license (LPN preferred given job classification); ability to work in New Mexico required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working overnight hours and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program for LPNs or an accredited nursing program for RNs (ADN/BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and clear communication with patients and families
