Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care during evening and overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Monitor and document patient status, vitals, and interventions in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including rehab staff, to support patient goals
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and safe patient transfers
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe care environment
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credential
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable and experienced working 12+ hour night shifts
• Experience in rehab or acute care settings is a plus
• Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills

Education

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or nursing program (RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring during overnight care
• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
