Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in a rehab/health setting
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to facility policy
- Perform accurate patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Document patient care clearly and timely in the medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists and physicians to deliver coordinated care plans
- Support patient mobility and recovery goals with dignity and encouragement
- Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state licensure promptly
- Previous LPN clinical experience preferred, especially in rehab, acute care or med-surg
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Good charting and electronic medical record familiarity
- Ability to prioritize tasks and advocate for patient needs
- Team collaboration and effective communication with interdisciplinary staff
