Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients, prioritizing safety and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care in the medical record
• Perform routine assessments, monitor vital signs, and promptly report changes in condition
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, therapists and support staff to create coordinated care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and follow-up needs
• Support discharge planning and smooth transitions to the next level of care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or other certifications are a plus
• Previous experience in a medical-surgical, rehabilitation, or acute care setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a team
• Reliable, professional, and able to manage time during busy 12+ hour shifts

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, wound care basics, and infection prevention
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and completing timely charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple patients, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Familiarity with standard safety protocols and patient handling techniques
