Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
• Support safe patient mobility, transfers, and positioning with proper technique
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate effectively with nurses and providers
• Assist with bathing, feeding, toileting, and basic comfort measures with dignity and respect
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to keep patients safe
• Collaborate with team members to deliver smooth, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification - state-required credential
• Previous experience as a CNA is preferred but new grads who are certified are welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Comfortable working evening shifts and able to respond to the physical demands of patient care
• Valid ID and ability to complete required facility onboarding and background checks

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and bedside skills with attention to safety and dignity
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and observe/report patient changes
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Good communication and teamwork to coordinate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Knowledge of infection control best practices and patient mobility techniques
• Compassion, patience, and a calm approach under pressure
