Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and perform thorough patient assessments
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility policies
• Monitor and document patient vitals, changes, and progress in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team to support patient plans
• Assist with wound care, IV support as allowed by scope, and other clinical procedures
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection-control best practices

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Comfortable working night shifts and caring for diverse patient populations
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and accurate documentation
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Time management, prioritization, and the ability to work independently when needed
• Compassionate bedside manner and clear communication with patients and families
