Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning
• Support bathing, dressing, feeding, and hygiene while preserving patient dignity
• Document care provided accurately and timely in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Active or eligible to obtain state CNA certification for Pennsylvania
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing principles and patient care techniques
• Comfortable with patient lifting/transfer equipment and safe body mechanics
• Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
• Good charting and documentation habits
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work as part of a team

This is a travel contract position in historic Gettysburg. When you’re off duty, explore the Gettysburg National Military Park and Visitor Center, take a guided battlefield tour, and wander charming downtown Lincoln Square with its shops and local eateries. History lovers will enjoy the Gettysburg Museum and Eisenhower National Historic Site.
