Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients, focusing on safety and dignity
• Carry out medication administration and accurate documentation according to facility policy
• Perform patient assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, providers and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care plans
• Support patient education and discharge teaching with clarity and empathy
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and adhere to infection control standards
• Contribute positively to unit culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN license (state of New Mexico preferred, or compact where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain prior to start
• Clinical experience in acute care or rehab settings preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass facility onboarding, background check and health requirements

Education

• LPN: Vocational or Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent
• RN option noted in job class but this posting is for Licensed Practical Nurse

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Patient assessment and wound care knowledge
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Solid infection control and safety practices
• Team collaboration and clear handoff communication
