Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in an acute/rehab setting
• Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, plans, and patient responses clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and safety
• Escalate changes in patient condition to providers promptly to ensure safety

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible to work in New Mexico required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or similar nursing setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Professional communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to unit workflows and facility policies quickly

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic wound care and ADL assistance
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Infection control standards and safe patient handling
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and prioritization
