Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe patient care during overnight hours with attention to detail
• Monitor patient status, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to facility protocols
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to carry out individualized care plans
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers to keep patient flow smooth
• Educate patients and families in a clear, respectful manner to promote recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Current and active LPN or RN license (appropriate to the job class) — New Mexico licensure is required or eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required; ACLS or PALS as applicable is a plus
• Recent clinical experience in a relevant care setting preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
• Ability to work overnight 12+ hour shifts and manage time effectively

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
• High school diploma or GED plus completion of nursing training

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and charting best practices
• Infection control, safe patient handling, and fall-prevention awareness
• Teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
