Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a medical/surgical setting
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document them in the medical record
• Perform timely patient assessments, monitor vitals, and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Provide patient and family education, ensuring understanding of discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, concise documentation and follow infection control standards
• Support patient mobility and activities of daily living as needed to promote recovery

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license (state licensure required prior to start)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or PALS as applicable is a plus
• Previous clinical experience in acute care, rehab, or med-surg preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass standard facility onboarding checks
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Education

• LPN: Diploma or certificate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and IV/line familiarity appropriate to licensure
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during long day shifts
• Professional bedside manner and clear communication with patients and families
