Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift
- Administer medications and monitor responses accurately and safely
- Perform timely assessments and report clinical changes to the care team
- Maintain clear, concise documentation in the patient record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Support admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed during your shift
- Promote a safe environment by following facility protocols and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license appropriate for practice in New Mexico
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred for RN roles
- Clinical experience in acute care or rehab environments preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently on night shift
- Ability to pass facility onboarding, background checks, and any required screenings
Education
- LPN: Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program or diploma
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid fundamentals in medication administration and patient assessments
- Familiarity with common EMR workflows and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical setting and escalate concerns
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations (typical in rehab)
- Team-oriented mindset with good interpersonal and time management skills
