Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, treating each person with dignity
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team promptly
- Document care clearly in the patient record to support continuity
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on care, meds, and discharge instructions
- Contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives on the unit
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credential as listed in the job posting
- Current state licensure for New Mexico or ability to obtain licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Clinical experience in acute care settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or nursing program (LPN diploma/ certificate or ADN/BSN for RN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and monitoring skills
- Medication administration and basic wound care knowledge
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and documentation
- Effective time management, prioritization, and delegation
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
