Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, treating each person with dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team promptly
• Document care clearly in the patient record to support continuity
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on care, meds, and discharge instructions
• Contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives on the unit

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credential as listed in the job posting
• Current state licensure for New Mexico or ability to obtain licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience in acute care settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or nursing program (LPN diploma/ certificate or ADN/BSN for RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and basic wound care knowledge
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and documentation
• Effective time management, prioritization, and delegation
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
