Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care by administering medications and treatments accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Document care promptly and clearly in the patient chart/EMR to ensure continuity
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate effective care plans
• Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity
• Maintain safety and infection-control standards to protect patients and staff
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to keep unit flow efficient

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in New Mexico preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Clinical nursing experience in a relevant setting (acute care, rehab, or similar) preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy 12-hour shifts

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (practical diploma, ADN, or BSN as appropriate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and patient assessment skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) charting
• Knowledge of infection control practices and standard precautions
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly in changing patient-care situations
• Good documentation practices and attention to detail
