Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients on assigned unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor patient status, report changes promptly, and escalate concerns to providers
• Perform focused assessments, discharge teaching and patient education to support recovery
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license — eligible to practice in New Mexico
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; other certifications welcomed
• Previous acute care or rehabilitation experience preferred but motivated new travelers are welcome
• Professional, compassionate communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements and background checks

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (diploma or certificate)
• RN: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and patient safety skills
• Comfortable with medication administration and electronic charting
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients during a night shift
• Basic familiarity with rehabilitation and recovery-focused care settings
