Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the assigned unit
• Perform accurate patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document per policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic medical record
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and wellness
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility protocols to keep patients safe

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license for New Mexico required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as required by unit
• Current immunizations and background checks per facility policy
• Clinical experience in a relevant area (skilled nursing, rehab, med-surg) preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Flexible, professional attitude and willingness to cover unit needs on assignment

Education

• LPN: Vocational diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring with strong clinical judgment
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Experience with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Infection prevention, wound care basics, and safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and family-centered care approach
