Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility policies
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform timely patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent care
- Maintain clear, up-to-date clinical documentation in the patient record
- Support safe patient transfers, admissions, discharges, and patient education
Qualifications
- Current and active LPN or RN license for the state of New Mexico
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other certifications encouraged
- Clinical experience in acute or post-acute settings preferred
- Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Education
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or RN diploma/associate/BSN, as appropriate to licensure)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment and monitoring of clinical status
- Medication administration and basic treatment management
- Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Able to prioritize tasks, think critically, and escalate when needed
- Strong teamwork, bedside manner, and patient education skills
