Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients according to care plans and facility policies
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform timely patient assessments and report changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care and progress clearly in the medical record
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient education to ensure smooth transitions
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to deliver high-quality care
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic clinical procedures as appropriate
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)
• BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications welcomed
• Clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation preferred
• Ability to safely work 12+ hour day shifts and adapt to facility workflows
• Up-to-date immunizations and willingness to complete background/health screenings

Education

• LPN diploma or certificate program completion; RN candidates considered per job class

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration knowledge and attention to safety
• Clear, timely documentation in electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Time management, prioritization, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Basic wound care and infection control practices
