Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the assigned unit
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
- Document care and patient responses in the electronic medical record in a timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and discharge instructions
- Maintain a safe, clean care environment and adhere to infection control policies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (valid in New Mexico or compact privilege where applicable)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) encouraged where relevant
- Prior clinical experience preferred; travel or acute care experience a plus
- Current immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred for RNs)
- LPN candidates should hold diploma or certificate from an accredited practical nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Familiarity with common inpatient procedures and protocols
- Comfortable using an electronic medical record for charting
- Excellent teamwork, prioritization and time management abilities
- Patient and family-centered communication and education
