Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned patients with attention and skill
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following facility protocols
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatments, and discharge instructions with patience and clarity
• Prioritize safety, infection control, and quality improvement in everyday practice

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse) — must be eligible to practice in New Mexico
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical, rehab, or acute care settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet standard onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (diploma, ADN, or BSN as applicable to role)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and vital sign interpretation
• Medication administration and IV/PO safety practices
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and charting
• Patient education, discharge planning, and family communication
• Infection prevention, safety protocols, and clinical best practices
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
