Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as an LPN or RN within the assigned unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the patient record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Support safe patient transitions by coordinating admissions, discharges, and referrals
• Maintain accurate charting and follow facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Coach and educate patients and families to promote recovery and self-care

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (must be eligible to practice in New Mexico)
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS or PALS as applicable preferred
• Clinical experience in acute care, rehab, or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-first mindset
• Ability to pass facility onboarding, background check and any required screenings

Education

• LPN: Vocational/technical diploma or equivalent
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with medication administration, IV care (as allowed by license) and wound care
• Solid clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation practices
• Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Good time management, delegation (RN), and patient education abilities
