Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients on your unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
• Document patient care clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans
• Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and the highest standard of care

Qualifications

• Current and active LPN or RN license in New Mexico (LPN or RN applicants welcome)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable preferred
• Clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on night shift
• Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to care

Education

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or
• Graduation from an accredited associate or bachelor nursing program (RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and documentation
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, and wound care
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks, triage needs, and stay calm under pressure
• Team player with good clinical judgment and a focus on patient advocacy
