Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients on your unit
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
- Document patient care clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans
- Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and the highest standard of care
Qualifications
- Current and active LPN or RN license in New Mexico (LPN or RN applicants welcome)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable preferred
- Clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on night shift
- Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to care
Education
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or
- Graduation from an accredited associate or bachelor nursing program (RN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and documentation
- Skilled in patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, and wound care
- Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks, triage needs, and stay calm under pressure
- Team player with good clinical judgment and a focus on patient advocacy
