Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for acute and rehabilitation patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Document care and clinical observations clearly in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes during your shift

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New Mexico (or compact license where applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain promptly)
• Previous acute care or rehabilitation nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for RNs
• Practical Nursing diploma for LPN applicants

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and documentation
• Comfortable with patient assessments, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced night environment
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family education
