Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to patients during the night shift
- Perform assessments, monitor vitals, and report changes in condition promptly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the chart
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Support patient and family education, promoting recovery and well-being
- Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment and follow infection control protocols
- Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate per facility policy
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license (Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse) — New Mexico licensure preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience working night shifts in an acute or post-acute setting is a plus
- Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, and facility onboarding
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Education
- LPN: Vocational/Practical Nursing diploma or certificate
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical documentation
- Medication administration and safe practice
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Basic wound care and medication wound management
- Time management, prioritization, and delegation
- Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
