Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and monitor patient status during the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care in the electronic health record
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Support admissions, discharges and transfers to keep patient flow smooth
• Assist with wound care, basic procedures and patient education at bedside
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe, respectful and efficient unit environment

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing (New Mexico licensure required or ability to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications such as ACLS preferred
• Active immunizations and ability to pass facility background and drug screening
• Comfortable working overnight clinical shifts in an acute care setting
• Professional communication skills and ability to work well on a team

Education

• LPN: Vocational nursing diploma or certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
• Infection control and safe clinical practice knowledge
• Good time management, prioritization and teamwork abilities
• Clear communication with patients, families and clinical staff
