Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, ensuring comfort and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor and document patient status, recognizing changes and escalating concerns
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and physicians to create and carry out patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions and safety
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to facility policies and infection control standards
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transitions of care to support smooth patient flow

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico (LPN required; RN candidates may also be considered where applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; other certifications (e.g., ACLS) preferred where applicable
• Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN)
• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/associate nursing education preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in vital sign assessment, medication administration and wound care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Good clinical judgment and prioritization in fast-paced settings
• Patient education and family-centered communication
• Basic IV and catheter care knowledge (where applicable to facility)
