Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, escalating changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely as ordered
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and providers to coordinate care and transitions
• Support patient and family education with empathy and clear communication
• Maintain safety, infection control and regulatory standards on your unit

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license (class listed as LPN/RN)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willing to obtain prior to start
• Clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently overnight
• Must be able to pass facility background and health screening requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing or practical nursing program (LPN diploma or RN associate/BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and bedside clinical skills
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Basic wound care and mobility/rehab support as applicable to the unit
• Clear communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Ability to prioritize and respond calmly to urgent situations
