Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, intervening when needed
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Document care, observations, and communications clearly and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe discharge and continuity of care
• Respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently, following facility protocols
• Support patient and family education with clarity and empathy

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license — ready to practice in New Mexico
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred or available upon hire
• Active clinical experience in acute care or similar settings; recent overnight experience is a plus
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Current immunizations and background checks per facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN preferred)
• For LPN-level openings: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (if applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of inpatient nursing practices and standards of care
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients safely overnight
• Teamwork, adaptability, and strong bedside manner
