Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
• Respond promptly to patient needs, alarms, and urgent situations
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the facility EMR to support continuity

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license (RN preferred) — must be valid for practice in New Mexico
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications a plus
• Clinical experience in acute care or related nursing settings
• Ability to work independently overnight with good judgment and professionalism
• Clean clinical and licensing record and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN program as applicable)
• ADN or BSN preferred for RN applicants

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills during handoffs and overnight care
• Ability to handle urgent situations calmly and efficiently
