Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care during 12.5-hour night shifts
• Assess patient condition, monitor changes, and report findings promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient plans
• Document care thoroughly in the electronic health record to ensure continuity
• Support patient and family education with clear, respectful communication
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and assist with clinical procedures as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact license where applicable
• Minimum clinical experience preferred; LPN candidates may be considered based on facility needs
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred where applicable
• Proven ability to work independently on night shift and coordinate with day teams
• Strong infection control knowledge and ability to follow facility policies

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN/ADN or BSN for RNs; accredited practical nursing program for LPNs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and IV experience
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced night environment
• Basic familiarity with acute care workflows and safety protocols
