Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in an acute care setting
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and document findings accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to policy and provider orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge instructions
• Escalate changes in patient condition promptly to ensure timely interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic charting and handoffs to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license; eligible to work in New Mexico or obtain state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications welcomed
• Comfortable working 12-plus hour day shifts and managing a full patient assignment
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask and provide safe, high-quality care

Education

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program for LPNs, or an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) for RNs
• Any required state licensure or diploma/certificate completion documentation

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and documentation
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Infection control best practices and safety protocols
• Effective handoff communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
