Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the assigned unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document according to policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation
• Support unit workflows during admissions, discharges, and transfers to maintain quality care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse credential (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) as applicable
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred; facility will specify exact requirement
• Ability to work a 12+ hour day shift schedule starting at 6:00 AM
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program appropriate to licensure (LPN or RN program as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical monitoring
• Medication administration and IV/SC protocols
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
• Infection control practices and safety standards
• Prioritization and time management in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Comfort collaborating within interdisciplinary teams
