Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care and perform thorough assessments
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document accurately
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create and follow effective care plans
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic health record
• Respond to patient and family needs with professionalism and empathy
• Participate in shift handoffs and ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license (RN preferred) — New Mexico license or compact eligibility helpful
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS encouraged depending on unit
• Valid, up-to-date immunizations and background checks as required by facility
• Prior acute care or rehab nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and reliable teamwork

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or RN ADN/BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV/infusion familiarity
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety best practices
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and team members
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, overnight clinical environment
