Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to neonatal or adult critical care patients, using your RRT expertise to make a measurable difference
- Manage ventilators and respiratory support therapies, adjusting treatment based on patient assessment and physician orders
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor respiratory status, intervening early when changes occur
- Document care accurately in Meditech so the whole care team stays informed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
- Support emergency response and rapid interventions when critical events occur
- Provide patient and family education to help them understand respiratory care plans and equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum experience listed as 1 year; note the posting also references 2+ years for certain specialty skills (preferred)
- Experience in NICU Level III or Adult Critical Care (candidates must have one or the other)
- Comfort documenting in Meditech (documentation system used at the facility)
- Willingness to float as needed and work 12-hour night shifts
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and critical care principles
- Experience with NICU Level III or adult critical care patient populations
- Proficient documentation skills in Meditech
- Skilled in ventilator management and respiratory monitoring
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations and high-acuity environments
