Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to neonatal or adult critical care patients, using your RRT expertise to make a measurable difference
• Manage ventilators and respiratory support therapies, adjusting treatment based on patient assessment and physician orders
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor respiratory status, intervening early when changes occur
• Document care accurately in Meditech so the whole care team stays informed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Support emergency response and rapid interventions when critical events occur
• Provide patient and family education to help them understand respiratory care plans and equipment
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum experience listed as 1 year; note the posting also references 2+ years for certain specialty skills (preferred)
• Experience in NICU Level III or Adult Critical Care (candidates must have one or the other)
• Comfort documenting in Meditech (documentation system used at the facility)
• Willingness to float as needed and work 12-hour night shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and critical care principles
• Experience with NICU Level III or adult critical care patient populations
• Proficient documentation skills in Meditech
• Skilled in ventilator management and respiratory monitoring
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations and high-acuity environments
