Shift Type: Rotating schedule including weekends, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Day shift, weekend rotation; exact days vary)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate inpatient neuro and orthopedic patients to develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions for inpatient rehab and acute care (including ORTHO, Telemetry, and ICU patients)
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe, timely patient care and discharge planning
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in Meditech and maintain clear clinical records
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery goals and safe transitions
- Adapt treatment approaches while floating to other units as needed, maintaining high standards of patient safety
Qualifications
- Active PT license for Texas required — no temporary licenses allowed
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of hospital experience (experience in inpatient rehab or acute hospital settings preferred — 2-3 years ideal)
- Comfort and experience evaluating/treating neuro and orthopedic patients
- Experience working with ICU and telemetry patients is a plus
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills for neuro and ortho populations
- Ability to perform safe mobility, transfer training and progressive therapeutic exercise
- Experience with acute care workflows and ICU/telemetry precautions
- Proficient documentation practices and Meditech familiarity
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced hospital environments
- Time management and prioritization when managing a caseload and floating as needed
