Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Provide patient-centered care, administer medications, and perform emergency interventions
• Prioritize multiple patients and tasks to ensure safe, efficient care
• Coordinate with physicians, paramedics, and support staff to streamline patient flow
• Document assessments and interventions promptly and thoroughly in the Meditech EMR
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain situational awareness of the unit and advocate for patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) title as indicated by the role
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Minimum: greater than 1.5 years of ER experience (candidates without this will not be considered)
• 2+ years ER experience and Meditech EHR experience are preferred
• Strong prioritization and time management skills and a team-player attitude
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing fundamentals and triage principles
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record
• Patient-centered care and effective bedside communication
• Excellent prioritization, time management, and multitasking under pressure
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused emergency department
• Familiarity with common ED equipment and 4:1 patient ratio environment
