Shift Type: Rotating night shifts (12-hour), 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; rotating schedule that includes weekends (position notes 4 weekend shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered pediatric nursing care for a diverse patient population
- Perform respiratory care, central line care, GTUBE/NG tube management and drain care with attention to safety and infection prevention
- Deliver thorough preoperative and postoperative nursing care and monitoring
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech EMR
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent care
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions with empathy and clarity
- Respond to emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition using PALS and BLS protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Texas RN license required
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- APHON Chemo Certification is a plus
- Comfortable working night rotations and weekend shifts
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong pediatric assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Experience with respiratory care and airway management
- Proficient in central line care and GTUBE/NG tube management
- Familiarity with preop/postop pediatric care and monitoring
- Good communication skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity pediatric settings with a 1:4 patient ratio
